5-Ingredient Almond Milk

This is the kind of item you never have to buy at the store. Just in price making your  own almond milk is about a 1/3 of the price of store bought + no packaging waste, better taste, no fillers or preservatives, should I keep going? Ok, I use the leftover pulp on my morning smoothie, on top of oats, or dried and turned into almond flour!



5-Ingredient Almond Milk


Ingredients


4 cups water

1 cup almonds, soaked overnight

1/2 tsp cinnamon 

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

1/8 tsp salt

Instructions


Throw everything in a high-performance blender, and let it blend for a good while, like almost a minute on highest setting. Have a chinois ready, filter through. You can pass through a milk bag too, but I like the coarser texture of passing just through a chinois and its much easier to clean.

Bottle it & done. Keeps refrigerated for about 4 days, though it’s so good it never lasts this long for me. 

The coolest thing is that you can play with adding flavors like matcha, cacao powder, or make it sweet with dates or honey, or use other nuts, or seeds, or a combination of them. Aaah too good!
